Job Summary
The Landscape Architect is a key member of our team, responsible for leading and managing complex landscape architecture projects from inception to completion. This role requires a combination of strong design skills and technical rigor that will take projects from concept through construction administration. Success in this role requires a combination of strong design skills, technical documentation ability, project management expertise, and client relationship management to deliver exceptional results.
Duties and responsibilities

Serve as lead designer/planner on a variety of project scales.

Lead design concepts from initial planning through detailed design and construction administration.

Demonstrate leadership by driving project success through exceptional design, documentation, planning, business development, and/or project management.

Prepare and review detailed construction documents, including layout, grading, planting, and hardscape details, ensuring accuracy, coordination across disciplines, and adherence to standards.

Collaborate effectively with diverse teams, clients, and the public.

Foster mentorship and development of junior staff.
Qualified candidates are required to have:

Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture.

Licensed Landscape Architect (or ability to obtain licensure).
-
5+ years of landscape architecture experience.

Proven project management skills, including experience with project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D, Rhino or Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Past experience in planning and developing projects from the conceptual design phase through construction documentation.
Desired Skills

Experience in sustainable design and LEED certification.

Knowledge of construction practices and materials.

Experience in business development and proposal writing.
