Job Summary

The Landscape Architect is a key member of our team, responsible for leading and managing complex landscape architecture projects from inception to completion. This role requires a combination of strong design skills and technical rigor that will take projects from concept through construction administration. Success in this role requires a combination of strong design skills, technical documentation ability, project management expertise, and client relationship management to deliver exceptional results.

Duties and responsibilities

• Serve as lead designer/planner on a variety of project scales.

• Lead design concepts from initial planning through detailed design and construction administration.

• Demonstrate leadership by driving project success through exceptional design, documentation, planning, business development, and/or project management.

• Prepare and review detailed construction documents, including layout, grading, planting, and hardscape details, ensuring accuracy, coordination across disciplines, and adherence to standards.

• Collaborate effectively with diverse teams, clients, and the public.

• Foster mentorship and development of junior staff.

Qualified candidates are required to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture.

• Licensed Landscape Architect (or ability to obtain licensure).

• 5+ years of landscape architecture experience.

• Proven project management skills, including experience with project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D, Rhino or Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Past experience in planning and developing projects from the conceptual design phase through construction documentation.

Desired Skills

• Experience in sustainable design and LEED certification.

• Knowledge of construction practices and materials.

• Experience in business development and proposal writing.
