Purpose of Job
The Senior Manager of Production Control & Procurement is responsible to to maintain on time production and 100% customer satisfaction. This position leads a team responsible from procuring materials to support production/customer demand meeting inventory targets. This position also is responsible for developing short term and long term production plans that meets planned capacity, inventory targets, and on time customer satisfaction.
Major Duties/Responsibilities

Direct and support Supply Chain departmental activities to support production. Lead managers and supervisors to achieve set inventory levels and production plans. Manage to and report performance against KPI targets. Lead collaboration with engineering, production, and quality to prepare the organization for best practices and smooth start-ups.

Business Plan & Strategic Contributions: analyze current state for efficiency and competitiveness; propose, implement, and manage improvement projects; measure and report on the impact of activities. Implement and maintain control systems consistent with lean, just-in-time production and delivery methodologies. Evaluate and analyise inventory levels and drive improvements. Liaise & collaborate with other departments and NSNA organization as required to support the overall goals for North American.

Manage department: Develop and mentor leadership team to offer best-in-class practices to the organization, develop budgets and report actual performance to executives. Model and train on root-cause analysis methods to drive improvements to processes and tools.

Support management of ancilliary services including Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives.
Education, Experience and Knowledge
Required and/or preferred level of education, knowledge and skills that are necessary.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, analysis, or equivalent progressive experience in automotive manufacturing, supply chain management, and logistics engineering.
Related Experience
- Minimum ten (10) years in manufacturing supply chain, with at least five (5) years supervising large teams of direct and indirect reports. Knowledge of supply chain, production scheduling, capacity requirements, and automotive customer requirements, ERP/WMS/MES experience.
Special Training or Competency
- Coursework towards supply chain certification such as SCMA, ISM or APICS. Project management experience. Proficiency and adaptability using desktop applications: strong MS Excel skills, MS Powerpoint presentation preparation, Warehouse Management Systems. Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.

Additional Information
Work Hours
Monday-Friday, 7:30AM – 4:30PM. Off-hours as needed.
Travel
10% international and/or domestic.
If domestic travel is necessary, valid drivers’ license is required.
If international travel is necessary, valid passport is required.
