Duties

The United States Space Force (USSF) HQ Combat Forces Command, Directorate of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (S2) at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado is searching for an Intelligence Specialist (GG-0132-13). This position is covered by the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS). We are seeking a multi-source Space ISR Analyst and briefer to deliver decisive intelligence on adversary space capabilities to Combat Forces Command leadership and operational forces. As a key member of the team, you will serve as a subject matter expert on adversary space capabilities, enabling threat-driven, joint ISR operations that are critical to the U.S. Space Force mission. You will be responsible for complex technical analysis and the production of fused intelligence products derived from multiple sources, including Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Human Intelligence (HUMINT), and Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT). Your analysis will provide the critical battle space awareness necessary for combatant commanders and other customers to successfully plan and conduct operations. From high-level executive briefings for senior leadership to developing exercise threat scenarios, your insights will directly shape U.S. Space Force readiness and modernization. You will maintain liaison activities across the Intelligence Community (IC), U.S. Space Command (USSC), and other mission partners to strengthen partnerships and ensure the integration of CFC ISR priorities. The ideal candidate possesses a robust background in space intelligence analysis-specifically regarding Russian and/or Chinese space strategy, doctrine, and capabilities-and is highly skilled in utilizing multi-source intelligence information systems to produce detailed assessments and actionable recommendations. They demonstrate extensive knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, and DoD structures, alongside advanced analytical capabilities that allow them to quickly assimilate disparate data and conduct unbiased, complex research to link agency capabilities in support of consumers. This professional has a proven track record of developing and delivering clear, high-impact threat briefings directly to senior military commanders, flag or general officers, and executive decision-makers, conveying critical insights effectively under conditions of urgency and pressure. Furthermore, they bring valuable experience in designing realistic intelligence threat scenarios for operational training exercises and maintain a strong familiarity with base-level Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) or physical threat assessments, all while demonstrating the utmost capability to manage and maintain strict control of classified material. Key Skills and Abilities: 1. Knowledge of the full range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices to use multi-source intelligence information systems to capture data in order to make recommendations in developing intelligence capabilities and threat assessments to interpret policy and commit resources. 2. Knowledge of advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods to produce detailed analyses of complex information/situations attained from multiple sources, to include database manipulation. 3. Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations, and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations. 4. Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing collection requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of consumers, customers, and clients. 5. Skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes. 6. Ability to maintain control of classified material, quickly assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure based on mature judgment and experience and present and/or defend a position effectively.
