Full job description
SECTION I:
BASIC FUNCTION: With guidance from the Department Director, and assistance from the modality supervisors, the manager of diagnostic imaging is responsible for oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Radiology department on all campuses. This will include delivery of patient care, new program development, collaborative practices between all levels of the hospital care system, and departmental financial planning.
SECTION II:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S):

The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and/or be a graduate of an accredited school for Radiologic technology or Ultrasound.

Multimodality candidate preferred.

3 years of progressive supervisory leadership with 5 years of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Candidate would be encouraged to pursue continuing educational opportunities to further advance and enhance work related skills.
SECTION III:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Candidates should be able to participate in the safe and effective transfer of all patients from, but not limited to, wheelchairs and stretchers.
SECTION IV:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION: Responsibilities include, with supervisor and Department Director support:

Oversight of day-to-day operations of all radiology departments and locations

Oversight of all equipment management, contracts, pms, logs and invoice management

Assist the Director and modality supervisors to ensure that the department is running within the standards set upon it by governing bodies such as the Joint Commission, NYSDOH, and ACR

Assist Director in ensuring adherence by employees to all departmental and organizational policies

Assisting Director with help of supervisors in Policy creation and maintenance

Assisting Director with all reporting and maintenance of incident reporting through the Midas system

Oversight of annual performance reviews for direct reports within the department

Disciplinary actions with the assistance of the Director and HR

Assisting Director in design and maintenance of hospitality type practices that ensure patient safety and patient satisfaction

Develop relationships with staff and leadership within the department and other clinical areas

Assist the Director in assessment and budgetary planning for the department and capital projects
-
Assist the Director and Supervisors with recruitment and retention initiatives

Oversight of other Radiology procedures throughout all clinical areas

Salary Range: $47.28-$70.92 /hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
