About the Position: This position is located at Fort Campbell, Tennesee, BLANCHFIELD Medical Treatment Facility. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

• Provide supervision to assigned professional and paraprofessional employees.
• Provide individual, couple, family, and/group psychological counseling utilizing a variety of treatment modalities.
• Coordinate with a variety of agencies to assist with the multidisciplinary treatment of patients.
• Establish performance standards for employee.
• Prepare performance appraisals for subordinate employees.
• Provide healthcare to adolescent, children, and adult patient populations.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Basic Requirement for Supervisory Clinical Psychologist: Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing psychological evaluations or assessments on patients; developing treatment plans for patients; providing psychological counseling to patients; and instructing others in technical or administrative matters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). AND Licensure: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
