Summary

You will serve as an Acquisition Analyst in the Systems Acquisition Group, Program Management Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Duties

  • You will plan, manage and support the work efforts required for successful accomplishment of the assigned acquisition program.
  • You will collaborate with program/department managers and other management officials for the development of program guidance and requirements for development, test and evaluation, procurement and in-service operations of supported program.
  • You will translate program guidance into policy direction and assistance to the program office staff and Integrated Program Team leaders and members.
  • You will formulate short-term and long-range program plans and ensures that program milestones established provide adequate time and resources for implementation by contractors, field activities and participating government agencies.
  • You will analyze information requirements to develop and maintain the information reporting system sufficient in scope to serve as a reference source for briefing program officials about the technical, financial and schedule status of the program.
  • You will participate in meetings to provide status of progress, prepare planning documents, exchange progress information, reconcile conflicting information, provide advice on decision-making alternatives, discuss resource problems and other issues.
  • You will perform budget administration work, advise on the time-phasing of budget plans, develop and coordinate budgetary actions in the execution phases, and assure that funds are used on a timely basis where needed to accomplish program goals.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11/12) grade level or pay band (DA-04) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Utilizing a wide range of technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage weapon systems acquisition; (2) Reviewing, analyzing, and implementing higher level acquisition and procurement policies; (3) Managing acquisition requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; (4) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; and (5) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a Command.
