Job Description

A large Material Handling Company is looking for an entry level software commissioning engineer in the Austin TX area. This person will be responsible for software commissioning operations of automated material handling equipment. They will be involved in running test scripts. They will perform test runs of equipment to ensure proper data population and communication between equipment. They will need to have good trouble shooting skills and be able to read and understand software log files, as well as perform basic querying. The first 8 months of this role will be in Austin TX, however there is additional work that needs support, which will require travel across the US.

Compensation varies based on experience and ranges from $25-35/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages while on contract for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law. REQUIRED

Skills and Requirements

Associates Degree in Software Engineering or Software Boot Camp training could suffice 0-1+ year of software engineering experience (i.e. database experience) Desire to grow in software engineering knowledge Understanding of Basic Query's Comfortable engaging with Customers directly Direct Automated Material Handling Experience or Intralogistics Exposure to Java System support experience
