A Brief Overview

The Retail Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for monitoring the daily operations inclusive of, but not limited to the following: shipping, receiving, warehouse inventory, vehicles/equipment maintenance. This position is also responsible for maintaining warehouse documentation and assisting in the orientation of all new retail warehouse staff.

Retail Warehouse Coordinator position reports directly to the Assistant Manager or Manager.

What you will do

  • Coordinates and integrates services within and with other departments by continually collaborating with departments'contact individual.

  • Coordinates return shipments to departments in concert with SUMC Procurement, and other departments.

  • Ensures proper handling, delivery, storage and accounting for equipment and records placed in warehouse storage.

  • Ensures that all equipment received is properly inspected and tagged by appropriate staff before delivery or installation in a department.

  • Ensures that procedures are developed and implemented to provide for the timely processing of receipts to and issues from the Warehouse inventory in accordance with the requirements of the Warehouse Information Systems and appropriate manuals.

  • Ensures that safety guidelines for self, patient, visitors and employees as well as infection prevention SHC/LPCH policies and procedures are followed.

  • Examines incoming shipments for accuracy and damages.

  • Ensures delivery schedules are maintained and promptly alerts leadership if a delay occurs or a delay is foreseen.

  • Performs periodic inventory checks to ensure the accuracy of database information and minimize the risk of inventory issues.

  • Assist Supervisor in the development and implementation of warehouse procedures.

  • Assigns task to staff and ensures that assignments are completed.

  • Assist in the training of new employees and in teaching new or revised procedures.

  • Ensures that the warehouse and loading dock areas are maintained in a safe, neat and clean condition, and the corridors are kept clear of supplies, equipment and trash.

  • Full cycle inventory management (see below):

  • Processes (receives, inspects, labels, assembles, transfers) daily shipments.

  • Extensive data entry to update and maintain inventory, inventory purchasing, and other accurate records.

  • Fulfills daily inventory requests and transfers stock to multiple retail locations.

  • Enters orders into inventory outlet with pricing, photos and quantities for sale.

  • Compiles and reviews data from sources such as sales orders, invoices, and accounting reports to determine compliance and accuracy of inventory within the warehouse.

  • Conducts accurate cycle counts per schedule and compares results to system data. Makes adjustments based on established policies and management approval.

  • Leads physical inventory at warehouse location.

Education Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience (inventory management and warehouse experience) and two (2) years of retail experience working in a high-end, fast-paced environment.

  • Available to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

  • Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.

  • Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $36.48 - $41.09 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
