Position Summary

The Farm Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of daily farm operations, ensuring efficient production and compliance with company protocols. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with live animals and a diverse team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving, team development, and operational excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesFarm Operations & Animal Care

  • Supervise and coordinate cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of turkey production facilities while following biosecurity and safety standards.

  • Ensure proper handling, care, and welfare of live animals.

  • Operate and maintain farm equipment and tools safely and efficiently.

  • Uphold protocols that support animal health, productivity, and flock health.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop farm employees.

  • Provide training on animal handling, safety protocols, and operational procedures.

  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.

  • Communicate professionally and effectively with employees and management.

Administrative & Reporting

  • Review and analyze activity reports to track progress toward production goals.

  • Collaborate with service teams to identify process improvements.

  • Organize and prioritize daily responsibilities.

  • Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to management.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, with flexibility to support farm operations. Occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required based on operational needs.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent OR at least 2 years of relevant experience in farm management, agriculture, or animal husbandry.

  • Experience working with live animals; poultry or turkey experience preferred.

  • Strong mathematical and basic computer skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.

  • Valid Missouri driver's license with a clean driving record, if required.

  • Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus.

  • Must not own or have contact with backyard poultry, fowl, or swine operations while off-duty due to biosecurity requirements.

Physical & Work Environment

This is an active farm-management position. The Farm Manager must be able to perform physically demanding work, including pushing, bending, stooping, squatting, pulling, and lifting 50 lbs. or more. The position may involve dust, humidity, heat, cold, chemicals, fumes, and varying outdoor conditions. Extended hours, nights, and weekends may be required based on farm operations.

⚠️ Biosecurity: Due to the nature of our poultry operations, employees in this position must not own or have contact with backyard poultry, fowl, or swine operations while off duty.
