Job Description:
The Operations Trainer position is responsible for providing instructor-led, virtual, and one-on-one training. Their coursework includes training in the operational EHR systems (Athena Practice Management, eClinicalWorks, and NOVO Smart Scheduling); Customer Service/De-escalation and Phone Training; and New Hire Technical Training. The Operations Trainer is knowledgeable of CHC standard operational and clinical workflows pertaining to EHR systems and can incorporate these standards into the course curriculum. The Operations trainer will also: work with the Training Group members to provide training support for organizational projects and initiatives; create and maintain courseware for classroom, virtual, and eLearning delivery of Operations Training projects; and proactively support best practices in operational and clinical workflows. This job involves traveling to CHC sites to provide support to new and existing Operational employees and the Operations Trainer is expected to have expert-level knowledge of our communication systems – Outlook, IM, Phone, and Zoom conferencing. Lastly, the Operations Trainer will require an understanding and acknowledgment that Operations is a piece of a greater whole, and therefore will be required to step into many other layers of the CHC organization, workflows, and tools to effectively produce successful training solutions.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Be an effective team member that participates (as needed) 100% in team meetings, projects; provide constructive feedback to achieve excellent outcomes for the Training Group

Maintain and develop effective and productive communication skills in all job-related areas

Work with the Training Group team to deliver and maintain high quality, effective, and engaging training courses, materials, and programs

Learn and maintain knowledge of Operations Standard Workflows, EHR systems and Operations business tools

As needed, deliver the PSA/CCS New Hire course and Live Phone Call Training
-
As needed, work with Human Resource and the Training Group team members to deliver and support the monthly New Hire Technical course
-
As needed, participate in Training Group meetings and training projects related to PSA/CCS training
-
Effectively communicate with Hiring Manager and Training Group Manager issues with class attendance
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills and Education
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
-
Minimum of two years experience as a trainer or educator
-
Minimum one year experience providing call center, customer service and/or Healthcare Operations staff training
-
Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications
-
Ability to assess and learn new software systems, procedures, policies and equipment
-
Outstanding written/verbal communication and presentation skills
-
Ability to collaborate in team environment with MWHS and CHC staff at all levels
-
Ability to meet deadlines and multitask
-
Ability to prioritize in dynamic environment
-
Ability to effectively deliver training through multiple methods, including in-person, video, telephone and internet

Demonstrated ability to present clear learning objectives and course materials

Demonstrated ability to assess competencies and abilities of students post training

Reliable access to transportation

Ability to travel throughout Connecticut to all CHC locations

Ability to work during virtual and in-person training hours, as needed
Preferred Skills
-
1+ years of experience with training eClinicalWorks, Athena, or other EHR applications in medical, behavioral health, or dental environments

2 + years of experience with ambulatory Healthcare Operations and/or clinical workflows and processes
-
1+ years of experience with Non-violent Crisis Intervention training
