Full job description

Over a decade ago, we reinvented women’s competitive swimwear, making it better fitting, more durable and as unique as the women who inspired us. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Associate Planner to join our Planning department. This role supports the planning and allocation of our swimwear assortment across both e-commerce and wholesale channels, with a particular focus on our core/replenishment business. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a genuine eye for product and merchandising, thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and is eager to grow within the planning function.

Reports To: Director, Planning & Merchandising Location: Huntington Beach, CA 92649 Employment Type: Full-Time Job Details: This is a hybrid role. Must be available to work in our Huntington Beach, CA office at least 2 days per week.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and management of seasonal financial plans, sales forecasts, and inventory strategies across e-commerce and wholesale channels.
  • Manage and maintain replenishment of core/evergreen/forever styles to ensure consistent in-stock levels and minimize lost sales for .com, wholesale and Amazon.
  • Analyze weekly and monthly sales trends, inventory levels, and product performance to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (operations, wholesale, design) to align assortment strategy and inventory flow.
  • Build and maintain detailed reports, trackers, and forecasts using Excel.
  • Monitor sell-through and provide recommendations for reorders, markdowns, and inventory reallocation.
  • Assist with pre-season and in-season planning, including size curve analysis and store/channel-level allocation.
  • Identify merchandising opportunities based on product performance, style attributes, and market trends.
  • Support month-end and season-end recaps, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Support purchase order writing, markdowns and other data entry ad hoc tasks.
  • Maintain a positive work climate and an environment based on trust, diversity, and inclusion within the team.
  • Foster and communicate the values that support the mission and objectives of JOLYN.
  • Ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in planning and/or buying within retail, fashion, or outdoor/sporting goods industries
  • Experience working across both e-commerce and wholesale business models
  • Background in core/evergreen/replenishment planning strongly preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Experience with NetSuite and Netstock a plus
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail
  • An eye for merchandising and product with the ability to translate data into actionable strategy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Quick learner with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Fashion, or related field preferred

Salary Range: The anticipated base salary range for this role is $70,000-$85,000. Actual compensation may vary outside of this range depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies.
