Recovery Coach - Crisis Receiving and Stabilization Center

Location:610 Valley Health Plaza, Paramus NJ

Full-time, On-site

Hourly:$18.00 without a CPRS Certification; $22 with a CPRS Certification.

Job Summary:

As a Peer Recovery Specialist, you will use your personal journey of recovery to assist others. Work alongside other healthcare providers, including Case Managers, Clinicians, and Prescribers, to develop individualized personalized recovery plans and be a support system for our clients.

What You Will Do:

  • Engage clients in collaborative and caring relationships by assisting in the orientation process

  • Maintain group and individual supportive interactions with clients, their families, and social supports

  • Communicate effectively-using personal recovery story-to develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships and aid om the recovery process

  • Provide recovery support by assisting clients in managing crises and encouraging exploration and pursuit of community roles

  • Celebrate clients' efforts and accomplishments

  • Share lived experience of recovery and ongoing personal efforts to enhance health, wellness and recovery.

  • Provide personalized client support

  • Provide linkages to services and community resources

  • Complete all required documentation in a timely manner and using recovery-oriented language

What We Are Looking For:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED

  • Experience working in behavioral health setting

  • Current and valid CPR/AED (BLS) certification

  • Must possess or pursue CPRS/NCPRSS from start of hire and obtain within 6 months of hire

  • Valid driver's license required and must be insurable by agency's automobile insurance for primary drivers
