Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Actuarial Analyst II for a top Property & Casualty Insurance client. This candidate will play a key role in the company's reserving function by conducting quarterly and annual loss reserve analyses that directly support financial reporting and strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Finance, Accounting, and Claims teams to ensure reserve accuracy, support financial statement preparation, and contribute to quarterly close activities. This position offers the opportunity to work in a highly visible actuarial role where attention to detail, analytical expertise, and process improvement initiatives are critical to driving accurate financial results and supporting long-term business growth. The role is fully remote and provides exposure to reserving methodologies, financial reporting, and cross-functional leadership within a dynamic insurance environment.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of actuarial experience in Property & Casualty insurance
  • Strong understanding of actuarial reserving methodologies:
  • Loss Development
  • Bornhuetter-Ferguson
  • Expected Loss Ratio
  • Experience performing loss reserve analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation abilities
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, and Claims teams
  • Reserving experience within P&C insurance
  • 4+ actuarial exams completed toward ACAS/FCAS designation
  • Experience with ResQ or similar actuarial reserving software
  • Experience supporting quarterly or month-end financial close processes
  • Knowledge of SQL, VBA, R, Python, and/or AI tools
  • Experience preparing financial statement support and regulatory filings
  • Prior peer review or technical review experience
