What You'll Do

Registered Nurses Float Pool are responsible for providing continuous quality patient care in a variety of settings. The Float Pool RN is part of a resource team that is assigned to varying units during their shift to ensure that patient care needs are met. These RNs possess the skills, competency and qualifications, as well as a requirement to work in several different clinical areas with a focus on critical care.

What We're Looking For

  • Education :

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. BSN preferred.

  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.

  • Experience :

  • Team 1 (Specialty/CCU): Min 2 yrs in critical care or ED setting. Team 2 (Inpatient Acute) - Min 1 yr general Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience, required.

  • Team 3 (Women's Svcs): Min 2 yrs in L&D, Post-partum, or NICU. All Teams require Cardiac Dysrhythmia test or successfully complete the Cardiac Dysrhythmia course within 6 months of hire. required.

  • Licensure/Certification:

  • Current compact RN licensure in appropriate state, required.

  • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.

  • Additional Skills (preferred):

  • Specialty Certification, Chemo Certification, Non Violent Crisis Intervention, Triage Course, NRP.
