Robert Half has partnered with a privately held, family-owned company with a long history of success in the manufacturing, retail and distribution industries. The company is experiencing continued growth and is investing in its operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on financial leader to join a growing organization and work closely with the President and leadership team.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Controller will oversee the company's accounting and financial operations, including the full accounting cycle, month-end close, financial statement preparation, cost and inventory accounting, cash management, budgeting and forecasting. This individual will also work closely with the company's outside CPA, banking partners, customers and internal leadership while supervising the accounting team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage full-cycle accounting and month-end close

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports

Oversee cost accounting and inventory accounting

Work closely with outside CPA on tax filings and financial matters

Manage banking relationships, borrowing requests and required financial reporting

Oversee cash management and cash flow

Develop and manage budgets and forecasts

Provide financial analysis and guidance to the President and leadership team

Supervise and support accounting staff

Partner with Sales and other departments to provide timely financial information

Help strengthen accounting processes and support the company's continued growth

Assist with financial reporting and requests from banks, CPA, customers and internal stakeholders
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Competitive annual salary of $125,000-$150,000 depending on experience plus a competitive benefits package.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
-
Prior Controller experience within a manufacturing environment
-
Strong full-cycle accounting and month-end close experience
-
Experience preparing financial statements
-
Strong cost and inventory accounting experience
-
Experience working directly with banks on borrowing requests and financial reporting requirements
-
Experience working with outside CPA firms
-
Prior experience supervising accounting staff
-
Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
PREFERRED:

CPA/MBA

Experience with QuickBooks and ERP systems
-
Experience in a privately held or family-owned manufacturing environment
