RT Technician – Rope Access

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay: $31.00-$52.00 per hour

Position Summary

MISTRAS Group is seeking an experienced Radiographic Testing (RT) Technician with Rope Access experience to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. This is a full-time, local position , and candidates must currently reside in the Los Angeles area to be considered.

The RT Technician will perform radiographic inspections and other NDT services while working at heights and in difficult-to-access areas using rope access techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic testing (RT) inspections in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, and client requirements.

  • Set up and operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Perform inspections in elevated, confined, and difficult-to-access locations using rope access techniques.

  • Interpret and evaluate radiographic results according to applicable standards.

  • Complete accurate inspection reports and required documentation.

  • Maintain NDT and rope access equipment.

  • Follow all radiation safety, rope access, company, and client safety requirements.

  • Assist with other NDT methods and inspection activities as needed.

  • Maintain required certifications and training.

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous RT/NDT inspection experience required.

  • Current RT certification preferred.

  • Rope Access certification/experience required.

  • IRATA or SPRAT certification preferred.

  • Ability to safely work at heights and in challenging work environments.

  • Strong understanding of radiation safety requirements.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

  • Must currently reside in the Los Angeles, CA area.

  • Must be willing to work locally throughout the Los Angeles area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • RT Level II certification.

  • IRATA or SPRAT Level I, II, or III certification.

  • Experience performing NDT inspections in industrial, refinery, petrochemical, or similar environments.

  • Additional NDT certifications such as UT, MT, or PT.
