SAP Billing Test Analyst

Your role and responsibilities

Role Summary:

Support testing of the Billing solution implemented by Cognitus, ensuring that billing transactions, pricing, costing, interfaces, and downstream financial processes work correctly across SAP and connected systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute RTB functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test cases.

Validate billing transactions and ensure accurate billing amounts, pricing, rates, fees, and costing.

Test automated billing triggers and changes to billing documents

Analyze billing discrepancies and perform initial root-cause investigation.

Create, document, and retest defects using tools such as Jira/ Service Now

Perform data validation using SAP transactions and Database queries.

Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and production validation.

Work closely with functional consultants, developers, business analysts, and billing teams.

Maintain test scripts, test evidence, and defect documentation.

Participate in daily defect triage and testing status meetings.

Skills Required:

Must Have

Basic understanding of SAP S/4HANA

Understanding of billing and pricing processes

Functional testing experience

Knowledge of test cases, test scenarios, defect lifecycle and regression testing

Basic SQL/data validation skills

Understanding of interfaces and data flow

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Good documentation and communication skills

Nice to Have:

Experience with SAP SD / Billing

Experience testing pricing conditions, rates, fees, billing blocks and repricing

Jira, Service Central, or similar test/defect management tools

Experience in aerospace/defense or complex manufacturing environments

Required technical and professional expertise

7-10 years SAP Testing Analyst.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• SAP HANA Module Knowledge: Experience with other SAP modules, such as SAP ERP and SAP CRM, is beneficial for integrating SAP HANA Billing and delivering comprehensive billing solutions.

• Data Migration Expertise: Familiarity with data migration and testing is advantageous for ensuring seamless integration of SAP HANA Billing with existing systems.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Exposure to collaborating with cross-functional teams can facilitate successful project delivery and effective client engagement.
