Job Description

Reports To The Maintenance Tech will report to the Maintenance Director. The Maintenance Tech position is a non-exempt, full-time hourly position. Salary Range: $23.00 - $25.00 Hourly Job Overview Aids in maintaining the community to be a safe, clean, and comfortable environment by conducting routine maintenance and repairs inside and outside the community, installing and servicing equipment, and preparing apartments for resident move-ins. If you have the skills and experience and can fix anything, our community has the job for YOU! What will you get to do as a Maintenance Technician?

  • Perform a variety of Maintenance repairs such as fixing faucets, replacing light fixtures, helping implement safety protocols, painting and more!
  • Respond to Maintenance requests from our residents and from fellow associates.
  • Clean and prepare apartment homes for new residents.
  • Ensure proper storage of all maintenance supplies.
  • Continuously monitor all areas of the community and grounds to ensure they are properly and safely maintained.
  • Help team members set up activities and events at the community.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year hands-on maintenance or related experience
  • Knowledgeable of maintenance and housekeeping practices and procedures, as well as the laws, regulations and guidelines governing maintenance functions in the community
  • Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications

Physical Abilities

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
  • An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
