Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Consultant / PMO Lead to support a large, complex global organization with revenue exceeding $5 billion in the management, optimization, and governance of its global lease accounting software platform, CoStar. This role will serve as the Project Management Office (PMO) lead for the lease accounting program, partnering across Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, IT, Internal Audit, Procurement, and regional business teams.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience implementing or leading a lease accounting system deployment, preferably involving CoStar or a similar platform, within a large multinational environment. Deep familiarity with the consumer products industry is required, along with strong program governance, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

PMO Leadership and Program Governance

Serve as the PMO lead for the global CoStar lease accounting program, providing structure, governance, and oversight across all workstreams.

Establish and manage program plans, milestones, deliverables, status reporting, RAID logs, steering committee materials, and executive communications.

Drive program governance, including decision tracking, issue escalation, risk mitigation, and change control processes.

Coordinate across global regions to ensure alignment on program objectives, timelines, and deployment activities.

Lead recurring project meetings, stakeholder reviews, and executive steering committee sessions.

Monitor progress against implementation plans and ensure accountability across functional and technical teams.

Develop and maintain PMO standards, templates, reporting dashboards, and implementation playbooks.

Lease Accounting System Oversight

Oversee the implementation, enhancement, or stabilization of the CoStar lease accounting system across multiple geographies.

Partner with Finance and Accounting leadership to ensure the system supports lease accounting requirements, policies, and reporting needs.

Coordinate activities related to lease abstraction, data migration, chart of accounts alignment, system configuration, testing, and production readiness.

Ensure the solution supports global compliance requirements and regional operational needs.

Work closely with technical teams and vendors to track system defects, enhancements, integrations, and release management activities.

Help define and maintain future-state operating models, business processes, and governance for lease accounting administration.

Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in program management, PMO leadership, finance transformation, or enterprise system implementation.

  • Prior experience implementing a lease accounting system is strongly preferred.

  • Experience supporting CoStar or another enterprise lease accounting platform preferred.

  • Strong understanding of lease accounting processes and the interaction between Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, and IT.

  • Experience working in a global, multi-entity, multi-geography organization.

  • Required experience within the consumer products industry.

  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives in large, complex organizations.

  • Strong project governance, reporting, risk management, and stakeholder communication skills.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a consulting capacity, influence without direct authority, and manage competing priorities.
