THE POSITION

The Licensed Psychologist position with the Department of Human Services (DHS) at the Selinsgrove Center offers an exciting chance to use your expertise to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position provides psychological services to individuals with developmental disabilities through evaluation, treatment, and collaboration with clinical staff. It plays a key role in supporting individualized plans and ensuring thoughtful, effective care. As a Licensed Psychologist, you will perform the following duties:

  • Psychological Evaluation: Assess individuals through medical and social case record reviews, interviews, and observations

  • Test Administration: Select, administer, and interpret psychological tests to diagnose needs and guide treatment

  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clinical staff to develop individualized treatment plans

  • Therapeutic Services: Use various psychological techniques to support therapy and behavior modification to treat disorders

  • Team Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss progress and coordinate care

  • Documentation Duties: Prepare reports and maintain treatment records consistent with clinical standards

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

  • Work hours are 1st shift (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM), Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

  • Free parking

  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirements:

  • You must possess a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology.

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
