Job Title: Collections Representative
Location: Greenwood Village, CO, 80111
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Work Environment: On-site (corporate office setting)
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Collections Representative to join a fast-paced financial services team. This position plays a critical role in managing the repossession and recovery process for delinquent accounts while ensuring compliance with company policies and state regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative abilities, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the full repossession lifecycle for assigned accounts, including initiating and assigning repossession orders to third-party vendors.

Conduct skip tracing activities to locate borrowers and vehicles using available databases, contact information, and research tools.

Monitor active repossession assignments by tracking vendor updates, vehicle status, and account activity.

Maintain accurate account records through detailed documentation, notes, and status updates within internal systems.

Process and track member payments, repossession-related fees, refunds, and recovery proceeds.

Coordinate post-repossession activities, including required member notifications and compliance documentation.

Support vehicle remarketing efforts by coordinating title processing, auction preparation, and sale-related documentation.

Post and reconcile auction proceeds, GAP refunds, warranty refunds, and other recovery-related payments.

Assist with charge-off processing and collection agency placement activities.

Perform high-volume data entry, account maintenance, document management, and administrative support tasks.

Review vendor portals and assignment systems daily to identify updates and ensure account information remains current.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Minimum 2 years of administrative and data entry experience.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Previous collections experience within banking, lending, credit union, or financial services environments.

Experience with skip tracing techniques and tools.
-
Vehicle repossession or recovery experience.
-
Experience working with financial services core systems.

Knowledge of payment processing, account reconciliation, and deposit procedures.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
