Full job description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Loan Servicing Specialist to support loan operations for a Financial Services organization in Vancouver, Washington. This Contract position focuses on maintaining accurate loan records, handling servicing activities throughout the loan lifecycle, and delivering responsive support to both clients and internal partners. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in loan administration and processing, along with a solid understanding of compliance standards and documentation requirements.
Responsibilities:

Enter newly approved loans into the core banking platform with a high degree of accuracy and completeness.

Administer daily servicing activities, including payment processing, account updates, and loan payoff transactions.

Review and reconcile loan-related accounts while supporting the accuracy of general ledger balances.

Organize and maintain collateral files and loan documents to ensure records remain current and audit-ready.

Provide operational support for acquired and serviced loan portfolios, ensuring data integrity and timely follow-up.

Coordinate specialized servicing tasks such as construction disbursements, escrow-related payments, and required organizational filings when applicable.

Apply banking regulations, internal policies, and control standards to all servicing activities and documentation practices.

Address questions from customers and internal departments by researching account details and providing clear, timely resolutions.

Contribute to audits, routine reporting, and departmental initiatives that improve servicing efficiency and accuracy. Requirements • Experience in loan administration, loan servicing, or loan processing within a banking or financial services environment.

Working knowledge of mortgage processing, mortgage lending, mortgage closing, or loan origination activities.

Ability to manage loan payments, maintenance updates, payoffs, and documentation with strong attention to detail.

Familiarity with account reconciliation practices and general ledger support related to loan operations.

Understanding of regulatory requirements, internal controls, and documentation standards in a financial institution.

Strong communication skills with the ability to respond effectively to both customer and internal team inquiries.

Proficiency in handling multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
