Full job description

JABA is seeking a Respite and Enrichment Manager to oversee its adult day center program in Charlottesville, Virginia.

About the JABA Adult Day Center:

We provide a person-centered approach, offering daily opportunities for connection, purpose, and joy for each member, regardless of diagnosis. Each day is filled with laughter, friendship, creativity, music, art, movement, and meaningful moments. Our Adult Day Center is a place where participants enjoy engaging experiences while caregivers have peace of mind knowing their loved one is safe, supported, and having fun.

What we are looking for:

We welcome candidates whose experience comes from healthcare, rehabilitation, behavioral health, disability services, recreation therapy, social work, education, hospice, community health, or other human service settings. If you have led people, coordinated care, and are passionate about improving lives, we encourage you to apply.

Experience working with older adults is valued but not required. We provide training in person-centered dementia care, adult day regulations, and aging services. We are seeking a leader with a passion to help our aging and disabled population lead full and dignified lives.

A four-year degree is required to be considered for the position.

Skillsets for success:

  • Experience leading and developing teams;

  • Coordinating care or services;

  • Supporting individuals with physical, cognitive, or behavioral needs;

  • Working with families and interdisciplinary professionals

  • Managing operations while maintaining high-quality programming;

  • Building relationships within the community;

  • Ensuring compliance and documentation.

Don't meet every qualification? We still encourage you to apply. If you have strong leadership experience, a passion for serving others, and a desire to learn, we'd love to hear from you. We value diverse experiences and know that outstanding leaders come from many different backgrounds.
