Job Description
The Field Manager oversees residential siding and exterior cladding installation projects across assigned communities. This role is responsible for pre-construction planning, subcontractor management, daily field operations, quality assurance, builder communication, safety compliance, punch list resolution, and project completion. The RFM ensures all work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications, company standards, and OSHA regulations.
Skills and Requirements
High school diploma or GED. 3+ years of experience in residential siding, exterior cladding, or construction field operations. Experience managing subcontractors, jobsite schedules, quality control, and builder/client relationships. Strong knowledge of vinyl siding and fiber cement products (James Hardie preferred). OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, takeoffs, and scope documents. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work outdoors, travel between job sites, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Science, or a related field. Residential community or production homebuilding experience. James Hardie SIDEMaster® or Contractor Alliance training. First Aid/CPR certification. Bilingual English/Spanish. Experience with construction management software, builder portals, and mobile field applications. Sage ERP Experience
