TWIC Port Worker
PeopleReady of Mobile, AL is now hiring TWIC Port Workers in Mobile, AL!
PeopleReady is seeking workers with a valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card to build our talent pool for upcoming opportunities at ports, terminals, and maritime facilities.
Opportunities may include General Laborers, Riggers, Stevedores, Cargo Handlers, and other port-related positions , depending on your experience, qualifications, and available assignments

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $16 - $20 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a TWIC Port Worker:
-
Perform general labor and material-handling duties in port, terminal, dock, warehouse, or maritime environments
-
Load, unload, move, stage, and secure cargo, equipment, and materials
-
Assist with loading and unloading vessels and other stevedoring operations
-
Perform cargo-handling duties using appropriate tools and equipment
-
Assist with rigging operations, including preparing and securing loads, when qualified and assigned
-
Use ropes, slings, chains, hooks, shackles, and other rigging equipment when properly trained and authorized
-
Assist with positioning, securing, and moving cargo safely
-
Communicate with crew members and equipment operators during cargo-handling operations
-
Maintain clean and organized docks, staging areas, and work areas
-
Follow all PeopleReady, client, port, terminal, and maritime safety procedures
-
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
-
Perform other port, maritime, and general labor duties based on the assignment

Job requirements:

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

Valid, current TWIC card required
-
Previous general labor, maritime, port, warehouse, cargo-handling, rigging, or stevedoring experience is a plus
-
Specialized experience or certifications may be required for rigging, equipment operation, or other skilled assignments
-
Ability to follow safety procedures and verbal and written instructions
-
Ability to work effectively as part of a crew
-
Ability to perform physical labor, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling as required by the assignment
-
Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
-
Willingness to work varying schedules based on assignment and vessel needs
-
