Job Description
Insight Global is currently seeking an Electrical Estimator to join a client in the commercial construction industry. This individual will prepare detailed electrical estimates for large-scale commercial construction projects, including pursuits and programs valued at more than $1 billion. The Electrical Estimator will review plans, specifications, blueprints, and bid documents while performing accurate quantity takeoffs and developing labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing. They will evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals, identify scope gaps, assess constructability concerns, and mitigate pricing risks throughout the estimating process. The role requires close collaboration with preconstruction and estimating teams to develop project budgets, support value engineering initiatives, and participate in estimate reviews. This person will manage multiple pursuits and deadlines simultaneously while effectively communicating estimate findings, recommendations, and pricing strategies to internal and external project stakeholders.

6+ years of commercial construction Electrical estimating experience

Experience supporting large-scale commercial construction projects with individual project values exceeding $1 billion

Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Experience performing quantity takeoffs

Experience developing detailed project cost estimates

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Experience utilizing construction estimating software and digital takeoff technologies (such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar tools) • Experience supporting preconstruction operations for a General Contractor

Large-scale commercial construction experience

Previous Data Center expereince

Experience evaluating subcontractor pricing and supplier proposals

Bluebeam experience

Experience supporting design development, GMP, and final bid estimates on mega-projects

Experience coordinating with multiple trade partners and preconstruction stakeholders during large-scale pursuits
