Full job description
The HMIS Data Quality and Monitoring Coordinator supports the Office of Homeless Services (OHS) in its role as the Nashville-Davidson County Continuum of Care’s Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) Lead Agency. This position ensures HMIS Participating Agencies are equipped to meet community expectations related to data quality, compliance, confidentiality, and system use. The incumbent implements the Data Quality Plan and Data Quality Monitoring Plan, assists agencies in developing and following corrective action plans, and ensures consistent understanding of program and funding requirements. The position is supervised by the HMIS Manager.
- Supports agency Points of Contact to ensure consistent understanding of grant and program nuances.
- Works with HMIS Participating Agencies to clarify and meet funding-specific data requirements.
- Communicates HMIS system-related information and updates to participating agencies.
- Creates, executes, and revises project work plans for agencies; monitor changes in HMIS use.
- Assists with complex Help Desk inquiries and provide customer service and troubleshooting.
- Participates in quarterly HMIS evaluation activities.
- Updates and maintains HMIS data dashboards and team-generated reports.
- Leads development and improvement of monitoring processes for HUD and local compliance related to data collection, entry, retrieval, reporting, and client confidentiality.
- Implements and monitors quarterly data quality checks using the Data Quality Monitoring Plan self-check tool.
- Conducts annual HMIS Participating Agency data quality monitoring and data security review visits.
- Documents findings based on the Data Quality Monitoring Plan.
- Supports agencies in running their own reports and addressing data quality issues.
- Creates and implements the HMIS Data Privacy and Security Plan; conduct monitoring aligned with policies.
- Coordinates with HMIS Committees and CoC partners to update Policies and Procedures, Data Quality Plan, Data Security Plan, and related documents.
- Maintains project management documentation and progress in Asana.
- Staffs CoC Committee meetings as assigned.
- Supports the work of the HMIS Manager and CE Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
Four Years of experience in information technology systems support or programming.
*Additional education in social work or related field may be considered in lieu of experience. (1:1 Ratio) *

- Experience in homeless programs, systems, or policy development; program evaluations and outcomes measurement; management information systems
- Knowledge of Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) or willingness to learn these areas of expertise within the first six months
