Full job description

The CounterWorks Department is responsible for selling and supporting computer systems and providing updates to the computerized jobbers. The department is also responsible for providing and maintaining electronic communications for customers serviced from all distribution centers. This position is responsible for installing computer systems and related help support in independent stores.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Provide technical help support via phone and email for hardware and software inquires at independently owned stores. Perform tests on computer equipment and send stores replacement equipment as needed. Install new point of sale hardware and computer systems at customer sites. Collaborate with sales staff and site owner to enter data into new and existing software. Train new users on software functionality. Travel as needed to install hardware at offsite locations. Maintain updated inventory of computer hardware. Maintain and organize equipment in the warehouse. Coordinate with department management on training new installers. All other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES Required: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Strong attention to detail Excellent time management and organization skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.) Excellent reading and comprehension skills Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers Flexible availability, including nights and weekends (overnight travel to include the use of rental vehicles and hotel accommodations) Desired: 3 years related experience Experience in help support O’Reilly Auto Parts has a proven track record of growth and stability.
