Job Description

Middle Kentucky Community Action Partnership, Inc. is requesting applications for the Head Start Program for the position of Family Service Worker in Wolfe County. The working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting and enrolling children in the Head Start Program.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records on all children and families.

  • Working closely with families.

  • Arranging and conducting monthly parent meetings.

  • Enter necessary data into computerized tracking systems.

  • Produce and disseminate reports to managerial staff.

  • Complete all required paperwork and reports.

  • Working closely with Community Partners to increase services.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to meet deadlines, be organized and flexible.

  • Must be motivated, caring, have a positive attitude, and be able to work as a team member.

  • Three years minimum of experience or training in Social Services or Human Services related field preferred.

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.

  • Must be willing to complete Family Development Credential within 180 days of hire.

  • Must have valid driver license.

  • Must be able to pass a regular health exam including TB skin test.

  • Must be able to pass Criminal Check and Child Abuse/Neglect check.

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
