Level l Rope Technician 3

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Level I Rope Technician 3 to join our team. This role involves performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs in hard-to-reach areas using rope access techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be comfortable working at heights in various environments, including construction sites. To perform basic rope access task under direct supervision, following safe work procedures and assisting in rescue operations when required. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work under direct supervision of a Level II or Level III Rope Access Supervisor.

  • Perform standard rope access tasks such as inspections, maintenance, and repairs in difficult‑to‑reach areas.

  • Use basic rope access equipment (ropes, harnesses, pulleys) according to safe working procedures.

  • Assist in rescue and safety procedures — Level I technicians do not conduct independent rescues; they follow established rescue plans under supervision.

  • Inspect and log equipment before and after use, ensuring it is in good working order.

  • Follow Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and site protocols for all operations.

  • Document work performed and report any issues or incidents.

  • Maintain situational awareness and adhere to all applicable safety regulations and standards.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education – no minimum education requirements.

Experience: 2+ years of Journeyman level experience.

Certification/Licenses: IRATA Level l, a Valid Driver’s License, and a TWIC Card.

Work may be performed in industrial and construction environments with exposure to weather conditions, temperature extremes, noise, dust, fumes, moving equipment, vibration, and other site-specific hazards. Employees must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and meet all customer, site, regulatory, medical, and fitness-for-duty requirements applicable to the position.

Must be able to perform all job duties while maintaining a constant commitment to safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
