Full job description
Summary You will serve as a Management Analyst in the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Office of Inspector General of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND. Responsibilities You will receive inquiries, proposals, correspondence, and reports from those sources. You will provide advice and counsel to management and staff officials throughout NAVAIR regarding all issues related to audits and reviews. You will Inform NAVAIR IG and staff officials of significant audit matters and status of audit progress and requirements. You will ensure close liaison and negotiates with key staff members of audit organizations and other commands. You will analyze audit reports and related information, suggest alternatives and options for resolution, and mediates negotiations between managers and auditors. You will maintain a management information system to monitor progress and supports internal and external reporting requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04/ NH-01 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Analyzing complex documents, reports, policies, or regulations to identify discrepancies, determine root causes of issues, and formulate effective corrective action plans or recommendations. 2.)Serving as a point of contact or liaison between different internal groups, external organizations, or stakeholders to gather information, mediate discussions, and track the status of tasks or projects. 3.) Articulating complex analytical findings, policy interpretations, and recommendations clearly and effectively, both verbally (e.g., briefings, meetings) and in writing (e.g., drafting official correspondence, reports, or replies). 4.) Using management systems, databases, or tracking tools to monitor the status of multiple projects, audits, or organizational recommendations simultaneously to ensure timely completion.
