SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Leave Administration Specialist is responsible for the administration and case management of employee leave of absence programs and workers' compensation claims, ensuring timely and accurate case management while maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This role serves as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave and absence-related matters, providing guidance throughout the leave lifecycle.

The Leave Administration Specialist manages routine to moderately complex leave and accommodation cases, coordinates return-to-work activities, partners with third-party administrators and internal stakeholders, and supports accurate payroll and benefits administration related to employee absences. The role focuses on delivering a positive employee experience through effective case management, issue resolution, and adherence to established policies, procedures, and service standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of related experience; or

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Experience administering leave of absence, disability, and/or workers' compensation programs.

  • Experience with billing, time and attendance and HRIS systems (Infor) preferred.
