About the Role
As a CBRESales Management Sr. Manager, you will lead sales management at the marketlevel for producers across Boston and Providence.
This job ispart of the Sales Management functional area, which focuses on the planning,coordination, and support that allow sales professionals to win and growbusiness. You will turn platform strategy into daily practice, managing thetools, processes, and partnerships that producers depend on to find, develop,and close business.
You will alsomanage direct reports and own the learning and development that raises thecapability of the sales management function, while helping build the talentpipeline the market draws on.
What You’ll Do
‒ Own pipeline andreporting accuracy across the market. Audit deal data daily, reconcile closedtransactions, keep teams current on upcoming client requirements and leaseexpirations, and support producer accountability to platform standards andrevenue targets.
‒ Drive adoption ofSalesforce and pursuit tools, troubleshoot producer issues in real time, andcoordinate the market’s inbound and outbound opportunity process daily withsales management and Managing Directors.
‒ Assist with thebusiness development process across leasing and capital markets teams,including opportunity qualification, pursuit strategy coordination, andsourcing from market signals such as lease expirations, mergers andacquisitions, and maturing debt.
‒ Develop strongrelationships with Market Leaders and sales professionals to leverage talentacross the market. Build working knowledge of each team’s strengths, facilitatespecialty broker meetings, and create connection points that align juniortalent with existing producers and teams.
‒ Work withinternal partners to align service lines—including facilities management,project management, property management, consulting, and GWS—on a single clientstrategy so pursuits and existing relationships are coordinated across the fullCBRE platform.
‒ Serve as asubject matter expert for local sales teams, helping them identify theresources, tools, and people needed to pursue and win business. Report onindustry and business trends and represent CBRE at local industry events andconferences.
‒ Provide formalsupervision to employees, including performance evaluations, coaching, andrecruiting. Manage the team’s daily activities, implement learning anddevelopment initiatives, and lead the pipeline of potential recruits with afocus on junior talent.
‒ Apply a broadknowledge of the business and own discipline, lead by example consistent withCBRE RISE values, identify and solve operational problems, and improve methods,processes, and standards within the job discipline.
What You’ll Need
‒ Bachelor’s degreepreferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience; a combination of experienceand education will be considered in lieu of a degree.
‒ Background instaffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, andperformance management is preferred. Experience supporting a commercial realestate brokerage, professional services, or transaction-driven salesorganization is preferred. Real estate salesperson license may be required,depending on state.
‒ Ability to leadthe exchange of sensitive and difficult information, convey performanceexpectations, build credibility with senior producers and Market Leaders, andinfluence stakeholders whose priorities compete. Comfort making judgment callson producer performance where no clear precedent exists.
‒ Leadership skillsto motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets across multiple jobdisciplines and departments.
‒ In-depthknowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and workingknowledge of CRM and pipeline reporting tools, including the ability totroubleshoot proprietary platform tools for producers in real time.
‒ Extensiveorganizational skills, an advanced inquisitive mindset, and intermediate mathskills including the ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and otherfinancial-related figures.
CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Senior Sales Manager position is $160,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Senior Sales Manager position is $180000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
