Job Description

Own component and program timelines from design through production launch Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, purchasing, and leadership teams to ensure milestones are met Track program deliverables, risks, action items, and dependencies using Jira, Microsoft Project, and/or Smartsheet Lead regular status meetings and provide updates on timing, issues, and escalation items Support design reviews, manufacturing reviews, and program gate reviews Work with suppliers to track tooling progress, prototype builds, validation activities, and production readiness Ensure engineering, tooling, validation, and manufacturing activities remain on schedule Drive issue resolution when timing, quality, cost, or supplier concerns arise Monitor development of metal and plastic components from concept through launch Understand manufacturing processes including stamped metal, aluminum, machined, and injection-molded plastic components Partner with engineering teams to verify designs are manufacturable and align with program requirements Communicate program health, risks, and recovery plans to stakeholders and leadership Maintain project documentation, schedules, meeting notes, and action item trackers Support launch activities and ensure successful handoff into production

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field 2-5 years of engineering, project engineering, or program engineering experience Experience delivering physical products from design through launch Proficiency with: Jira Microsoft Office Suite Microsoft Project and/or Smartsheet Strong understanding of product development timelines, milestone tracking, risk management, and cross-functional coordination Ability to work with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and tooling teams to drive programs to completion Experience with metal or plastic component development Understanding of tooling processes and timelines Knowledge of manufacturing reviews, tooling kickoffs, supplier management, and production readiness activities Automotive, aerospace, consumer products, industrial equipment, or other hardware manufacturing experience Experience supporting stamped metal, aluminum, injection molded plastic, or similar components
