Responsibilities

Working with directors, product leaders, data science and machine-learning teams, and clinical and business partners, the Associate Manager - AI partners with technical, product and internal customers to drive a focused set of AI initiatives end to end, maintaining focus on governance, timelines, and value realization. The Associate Manager - AI is expected to independently move assigned initiatives to completion.

The role requires working fluency — not hands-on model building — across the following:

  • Understanding of the AI solution lifecycle: data pipelines and readiness, model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring.

  • Familiarity with AI governance and responsible-AI practices.

  • Oversees operational execution of governance workflows and ensures portfolio activities are coordinated, tracked, and completed in accordance with established service levels.

  • Develops operational reporting, performance metrics, and dashboarding capabilities that support decision making and program management.

  • Partners with leadership to identify operational risks, resource constraints, and process improvement opportunities across the governance portfolio.

  • Awareness of healthcare AI regulatory and safety considerations (e.g., FDA Software-as-a-Medical-Device concepts, clinical validation, algorithm monitoring) and PHI/HIPAA data handling.

  • Familiarity with predictive/traditional ML and generative AI / large language models, including common use cases, limitations, and evaluation approaches.

  • Comfort partnering with product, analyst, data science, ML engineering, and MLOps teams, and evaluating AI platforms, tools, and vendor solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience in program management, operations, digital health, data/analytics, or technology environments — including exposure to AI/ML, data science, or advanced analytics — required. Master's degree, preferred. Demonstrated experience driving and coordinating AI, analytics, or technology initiatives in a matrixed organization preferred.

The preferred candidate will possess:

  • Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, health informatics, project management, engineering, data science, or related field preferred.

  • Experience managing complex operational programs, portfolios, or governance initiatives

  • Experience with operational metrics, reporting, dashboards, and workflow improvement

Compensation Detail

$127,961.60 - $185,515.20/ year. Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
