About the Role:

In this role, you will play a key part in coordinating and optimizing maintenance activities across complex building systems, helping ensure that critical environments remain safe, compliant, and fully operational. Working closely with engineering, facilities, and vendor teams, you will develop and manage maintenance schedules that directly support scientific innovation and business continuity.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules for critical building systems and infrastructure.

  • Consult with clients to schedule preventive maintenance and other downtime to minimize business interruption and inconvenience.

  • Coordinate work orders, service requests, and planned maintenance activities to ensure timely completion and minimal operational disruption.

  • Schedule and track maintenance activities for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and other hard services assets.

  • Partner with engineering teams, vendors, and facility leadership to prioritize work based on risk, business impact, and compliance requirements.

  • Monitor maintenance backlogs, resource availability, and labor utilization to optimize workforce efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate asset, maintenance, and scheduling data within the CMMS/work order management system.

  • Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules and performance reports.

  • Formulate and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.

  • Oversee and inspect the work performed by engineering staff.

  • Confirm that work is complete, equipment is fully functional and client space is in prime working condition.

What You'll Need:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Valid Driver’s License required.

  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
