As a CNC / ACME / Tool & Die Machinist, you are responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and or ACME to produce machined parts according to blueprint specifications. nVent expects you to adhere to all safe work procedures and to create parts up to the highest of quality standards.

W HAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION :

  • Sets up andoperatesACME / CNC / Tool & Die equipment to produce quality machined parts as specified by blueprints, layout, and templates.

  • Plans sequence of operations applying knowledge of materials.

  • Perform dutiesrequiredtoassistsetup andoperatemultiple ACME / CNC / Tool & Die equipment simultaneously for a variety of machined products.

  • Work from drawings, route sheets, schedules, written, and verbal instructions.

  • Check material forcorrectsize and type.

  • Use micrometers, calipers, scales, and fixed gauges to check work in process and ensure adherence to specifications.

  • Move materials in the performance of duties.

  • Install and check safety devices as needed for specific jobs.

  • Report faulty equipment, defectivematerialand unusual conditions to supervisor.

  • Complete required quality checks/documents and production documentation.

  • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations andmaintainworkarea in a neat and orderly condition.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned or directed, which may require more than the normal shift hours or work week to meet company needs.

YOU HAVE:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes

  • Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints

  • Experience using hand and power tools

  • Prior experience working in a light industrial facility preferred

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and meet operational deadlines.

  • Variable Conditions :Youmay experience temperature changes, noise levelsexceeding 85decibels, and exposure todust, grease, and otherindustrial materials. PPEand safety measures arerequired.

  • Safety Hazards :You may be exposed to mechanical parts, sharp objects, and heavy machinery. Completion of safety training and strict adherence to all safety precautions are mandatory.

  • Physical Strain : Tasks may involve repetitive motions, standing forlong periods, and handling various weights.

  • Vision and Auditory : Requires good vision and hearing to respond to machinery sounds, alarms, and instructions.

  • Physical Activity :Requires standing up to 8 hours, lifting 35 pounds, and occasionally pushing/pulling 75 pounds or more.
