Job Description
One of Insight Global's top technology clients is seeking a Packaging Production Designer to support production for all first party packaging across Wearables and VR products. In this role you will support the packaging design team by taking approved concepts through production — building layouts, reviewing proofs, and holding the line on consistency across a growing SKU count.
Responsibilities
- Build and revise packaging layouts from approved dielines and design direction
- Build detailed packaging guidelines based on packaging design system for external vendors
- Review vendor proofs and mark up corrections through to final approval
- Run copy fit checks across all locales and flag issues before they reach the vendor
- Maintain consistency across all layouts — type, logo placement, legal marks, iconography
- Partner with XFN (Production, Artwork TPM, Legal, Marketing, Localization) to resolve file and spec questions
- Keep file organization and version control clean as assets hand off between teams
Skills and Requirements
- Deep production art skills: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop; comfortable working from dielines
- Experience preparing print-ready packaging files for offshore vendors
- Detail-obsessed and fast on turnarounds; comfortable with late changes
- Can work independently across multiple programs at once
