Job Responsibilities:

Reinforce the instructional plan laid out by the classroom teacher and basic skills teachers by working with students individually or in small groups.

Plan and prepare study aids such as flash cards and worksheets.

Monitor and report the progress of individual students.

Assist with the assessment of student progress.
-
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Job Requirements:

Experience in working with elementary age students.
-
Evidence of a strong background in math and reading.

Evidence of strong technology skills in order to assist students with technology skills.

Evidence of the ability to be firm but kind, caring but consistent.

Demonstrated ability to take initiative.
-
Clear communication in speaking and writing.

Evidence of friendly, outgoing personality.

Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
-
Evidence of willingness to participate in staff development.

Demonstrated ability to follow through on a project.

Demonstrated organizational skills, punctuality, and efficiency.
