Summary
You will serve as a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the NAVAL SUPPLY SYSTEMS COMMAND FLEET LOGISITICS CENTER (NAVSUP FLC SIG GF), Sigonella Sicily, Italy.
Duties
- You will oversee daily Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) Control (HMC) operations, analyze data to create monthly reports, and serve as the HAZMAT Technical Advisor to ensure regulatory compliance.
- You will coordinate the Consolidated Hazardous Inventory Management Program (CHRIMP) program to ensure 100% participation from customers and assist in preparing work statements for HAZMAT service contracts.
- You will develop proposals for, and manage the implementation of, new automation and facility requirements for Hazardous Materials (HM) operations.
- You will act as the regional point of contact for Navy ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software, managing system change requests, and resolving hardware or software development issues.
- You will assist in developing the yearly operating budget for HMCs and provide instruction to users on database access, security, and recovery techniques.
- You will provide formal and informal training on various systems and processes, including Navy ERP courses, and develop user manuals for applications.
- You will support the Regional HAZMAT Director in developing and implementing continuous process improvements using Lean tools to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) Control and Management (HMC&M) Programs, CHRIMP (Consolidated Hazardous Inventory Management Program) Programs afloat and ashore involving the regulations, directives, and policies at the Federal, state, local and Regional level; AND 2) Utilizing Navy ERP and Hazardous Material Resource Information Systems (HMIRS); AND 3) Analyzing data; determining significant patterns or problems, and reporting past trends to higher management in the form of memos or reports.
