Job Description

As an Associate Technical Director - Design at Ubisoft Montréal, you will support the technical vision and production workflows related to game systems and content configuration. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create scalable solutions, improve workflows, and maintain reliable data structures that support large-scale content production across the Siege project. What you’ll do

  • Create and maintain MTX templates for customization assets in development
  • Define and document reusable data structures that support scalable content production
  • Identify opportunities for tooling and automation that improve workflow efficiency and simplify data configuration
  • Support the development of sustainable and scalable production practices for game systems and content workflows
  • Manage cross-disciplinary data configuration needs that fall outside animation, audio, and graphics ownership
  • Collaborate with teams across disciplines to support feature integration and technical configuration requirements
  • Assist the AI team with data configuration required to deploy AI bots across game maps
  • Act as a point of contact for shared configuration workflows and production support
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and alignment with Design Technical Directors across global Siege teams
  • Promote consistent standards and collaborative problem-solving across studios

Qualifications

What you bring to the team

  • Experience working with technical design workflows, data configuration, or production pipelines in game development
  • Knowledge of customization content workflows, scalable game data structures, or technical production processes
  • Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation
  • Understanding of tooling, automation, or workflow optimization practices
  • Collaboration skills when working with multidisciplinary and international teams
  • Organization and effective prioritization skills in a production environment
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on practical and scalable solutions
  • English communication skills required to collaborate with global teams and work with technical documentation primarily available in English
