Summary

You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Business Operations Branch of the Weapon Systems Fleet Engineering Division of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.

Duties

  • You will serve as a senior-level Specialist for related acquisition projects in support of Small Arms Weapons products and capabilities.
  • You will serve as the principle interface with Program Managers, Management staff, contract service providers and manufacturers with regard to acquisition projects.
  • You will participate in cross functional, Government, and industry teams in support of acquisition objectives.
  • You will coordinate and review technical contract deliverables, quality and material conformance programs, contract security requirements, in-theater contract support requirements, review of invoices, and supply-chain management.
  • You will be prepare and deliver presentations to sponsors/customers and private industry.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing and evaluating technical project resource requirements to develop, plan, and execute project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to improve efficiency and execution of program operations. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $138,370). This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
