Job Description
An energy company in the power generation space is looking to hire a Reliability Engineering Manager. This individual will lead and manage a plant reliability engineering team, providing technical leadership and troubleshooting support for operations and maintenance teams across generating facilities. The role is responsible for implementing long-term asset maintenance strategies, improving equipment and system reliability, overseeing diagnostics and failure analysis, leading root cause investigations, managing engineering projects, maintaining plant design basis documentation, supporting NERC reliability compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that reduce overall generation costs and improve plant performance. This position will also manage engineering staff, establish work priorities, support outage and overhaul planning, and oversee department budgets. Lastly, this role will require a mix of both office and plant time, with a goal of this person working 100% in person. Location: Pueblo, CO, 81006. Employment Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time. Salary Range: $112,000-$159,000
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 6+ years of power plant engineering, OEM, or industrial/manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience with reliability engineering, maintenance strategy, and asset performance improvement
- Knowledge of power plant systems OR related industrial processes, engineering design, and technical support
- Leadership experience or interest in managing projects, priorities, and technical teams
- Previous people management experience
- PE (Professional Engineer), Certified Reliability Leader (CRL), or PMP certification
- ABET-accredited engineering degree or higher education credential
