Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Systems Engineer in St. Petersburg, FL. This person will be responsible for requirements testing, integration testing, hardware-software testing, data validation and Problem Report investigations. This will be work within the aerospace industry for military programs.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. 5+- years (or applicable level) of avionics, aerospace, or embedded systems engineering experience.

  • Experience with avionics interface design and integration for aircraft systems.

  • Strong understanding of aircraft communication protocols, including: ARINC 429 Ethernet-based avionics networks MIL-STD-1553 Serial communications (RS-422/RS-485)

  • Experience defining and documenting system requirements, interface requirements, and I/O allocations.

  • Experience developing Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and data definitions. Knowledge of safety-critical development standards such as: DO-178C DO-254 ARP4754A ARP4761
