Job Description

A logistics employer in the Houston, TX area is seeking an Operations Associate to join their Capacity Planning Team. This team is responsible for cultivating and managing carrier relationships to provide operational efficiency for the company's clients. On a daily basis, this person will be responsible for supporting Capacity Planning Specialists on their daily tasks and operations. These responsibilities will include: follow up on carrier tasks, processing paperwork, tracking active transit, providing updates to the carrier sales team on changes and escalations. This is a fast-paced and high-volume environment, so this person must be very organized and have a pro-active attitude to provide updates and communicate efficiently.

Skills and Requirements

Experience in a sales or customer service role (such as food service, bar tending, etc)

Ability to perform tasks in a high-volume and fast-paced environment

Experience utilizing Microsoft office tools such as: Teams, Outlook, Excel, etc.

Excellent communication skills

Excellent organizational and note-taking skills

Willingness to learn Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Logistics

Experience in the logistics industry
