Full job description

Job Duties

The Community Specialist provides direct, person centered services to individuals with disabilities and/or employment barriers. This role supports participants in achieving greater independence and integration within their communities by supporting them in developing and maintaining skills related to independent living, assisting with job exploration, resume writing, interview preparation and job retention.

Minimum Education Required

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) with further training in health/rehabilitation preferred.

Minimum Experience Required

Six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Successfully complete DHS background study prior to beginning employment.
