School Certified Wellness Coach I
Setting: Healthcare Facilities
Job Type: Contract - Part Time
Pay: $28 / Hour
Hours: 30.00
Location: Jurupa Valley, CA
The Certified Wellness Coach I (CWC) is a state-certified role created by California’s Department of Health Access and Information as part of the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative. The Certified Wellness Coach I provides prevention and early intervention services to support the behavioral health and well-being of children and youth.
Under the supervision of a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credentialed professional or licensed clinician, the Certified Wellness Coach I can operate in schools, as well as in school-based and community-based settings. This role also offers a career path for those interested in supporting children and youth mental health, providing consistent training for entry-level employees, and allowing them to work in the field without needing a master’s degree.
Minimum Requirements:

Certified Wellness Coach I or Registered-Certified WellnessCoach I certification through the California Department of Health Care Accessand Information (HCAI) required

Associates degree or higher in a relevant field required

Prior experience working with children and youthrequired

Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

Current CPR if applicable
-
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
-
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
