Type: Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Full-Time
Compensation: $33.00-$33.00/hr

Tessera is seeking a supportive and skilled Service Order Dispatcher with a helpful attitude.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:

Supervise and mentor the dispatch team, providing daily guidance, training on software systems, and performance feedback.

Act as the first point of escalation for complex scheduling conflicts, difficult client inquiries, or emergencies in the field.

Audit dispatch logs and system data entry to guarantee accuracy, regulatory compliance, and completeness.
-
Oversee the distribution of incoming service orders, ensuring technicians are matched based on skills, geography, and availability.
-
Monitor real-time status of field units, proactively adjusting schedules to accommodate delays, cancellations, or urgent emergency calls.
-
Ensure precise documentation of all completed work requests, technician notes, invoicing metrics, and customer history in the ERP/CRM system.
-
Receive and log incoming service requests from customers via phone, email, or online portal.
-
Schedule service appointments based on technician availability, geographic location, and job urgency.
-
Communicate clearly with field technicians to assign work orders and provide accurate customer site information.
-
Keep customers informed regarding their technician's estimated arrival time (ETA) or any unexpected schedule adjustments.
-
Verify completion of work orders, ensuring technician notes, parts used, and hours worked are accurately entered into the database.
-
Manage office documentation by scanning, filing, and archiving service invoices, customer receipts, and warranty paperwork.

Welcome walk-in guests, clients, and delivery drivers, directing them to the appropriate person or handling their inquiries.
Qualifications:
-
3–5 years of leadership in facility maintenance or logistics dispatching experience in
-
a military or DPW environment is highly preferred.
-
Proficiency with computer databases, data entry, and computerized maintenance
-
management systems (CMMS); Maximo experience is highly preferred.
-
Experience with Army BUILDER Remote Entry Database (BRED) is preferred.
-
Must possess a calm demeanor when handling high-stress situations.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
