This person will load chemicals into or from tanks, trailers, rail cars or other various containers. Other duties may be assigned.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate the barge swap out with the fleet which is handling the barge to place it at the dock.

Inspect all ropes, bits, and cables which will be sued to tie off the barge.

Communicate with the deck hand or Captain of the vessel to let them know where to place the empty barge.

Communicate with the room operator to payout the winch until enough slack has been deemed appropriate to hook up the winch cable to the empty barge

Inspect the barge for any damage, leaks or contaminants

Escort third party surveyor onto the barge to survey the draft of the empty barge.

Control conveyors to account for proper loading of barge

Assist control room operator with positioning of barge to prevent sinking

Monitor condition of barge while loading

Other duties as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications Required for this Position:
Education – no minimum education requirements.
Experience – 3-5 years experience in an Industrial setting preferred.
