Description
A growing and highly regarded plaintiff-side litigation firm is seeking a Litigation Intake Attorney to serve as the first legal point of contact for prospective clients. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys case evaluation, client interaction, and identifying viable claims while helping individuals navigate complex legal issues.
The Litigation Intake Attorney will be responsible for conducting initial consultations, evaluating potential claims, assessing case merits, and facilitating the onboarding of qualified matters. The position requires strong legal analysis, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trust with prospective clients during challenging circumstances.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct initial consultations with prospective clients via phone, video conference, and in-person meetings.

Evaluate potential claims and determine legal viability based on applicable laws, facts, and case strategy.

Gather and review relevant documents, medical records, contracts, correspondence, and other evidence.

Identify legal issues, potential causes of action, damages, and litigation risks.

Prepare detailed intake summaries and recommendations regarding case acceptance.

Collaborate with litigation attorneys and practice group leaders on case evaluation and selection.

Explain legal processes, timelines, and expectations to prospective clients.

Maintain accurate records within the firm's case management system.

Ensure timely follow-up with prospective clients and referral sources.

Assist with conflict checks and engagement documentation.
-
Develop relationships with referral partners, medical providers, and community organizations as appropriate.

Support business development and client service initiatives.
Requirements
Qualifications
Required
-
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
-
Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
-
2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in plaintiff-side practice areas.
-
Strong ability to assess case value, liability, causation, and damages.
-
Excellent interviewing and client counseling skills.
-
Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
-
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred
-
Experience handling personal injury, mass tort, employment, class action, consumer protection, medical malpractice, or civil litigation matters.

Familiarity with case management and CRM systems.

Experience conducting high-volume client consultations.

Demonstrated ability to balance legal analysis with client service excellence.
